NEW 40T ADT ON THE CARDS FOR DEZZI

Desmond Equipment SA, better known as Dezzi, has announced that it is researching and designing a 40t articulated dump truck this year.

The Desmond Group of companies has been in business since 1973, and are renowned in the last 24 years, for the manufacturing of South African designed Dezzi equipment.

Dezzi’s head office and factory is based in Port Shepstone, and aftermarket service is offered nationwide in southern Africa into sub-saharan Africa with strategically placed branches and dealers.

Dezzi manufactures more than 30 units of earthmoving equipment for nine industries, including the mining and quarrying industry.

“We have made inroads into the mining and quarrying industry, and this year will be developing a new 40t articulated dump truck. Our growth has been steady, but significant,” says Carl Gutzeit, Managing Director of Desmond Equipment SA.

The 40t articulated dump truck (ADT), “built Africa tough” is in response to demand from the companies’ nationwide dealers.

“If we capture only 1% market share in the first year of production, we’d be growing the business appreciably. Should the ADT market come under pressure, the effect on us would be minimal as we come off a low base,” says Gutzeit.
